Ruby Bridges

-She was the first black girl at an all white elementry school
-They heard the city was a better place to live, so they moved to New Orleans where her dad got a job
-Under a federal court order, New Orleans schools were forced to desegregate
-There were 6 kids choosen, 2 stayed at their school, 3 went to a differnet one, and she went to her school alone.
